Customs Coordinator

About the Team:

The Customs team completes the “one stop shop” solution: optimizing the supply chain and creating a competitive advantage.  This talented team of advisors assists customers to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and achieve regulatory compliance.  Team specialties include trade advisory services, trade consulting services, customs clearance, and pre-post entry services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and handle import shipments including monitoring, data entry, document preparation, customs clearance, arrange shipment deliveries, invoice customers and other functions necessary to complete the import process.
  • Handle day-to-day release and shipment inquiries from customers.
  • Obtain and manage needed documents for customs clearance and follow-up.
  • Communicate detailed information and liaise with carriers/steamship lines and warehouse as needed for shipment management.
  • Monitor releases and coordinate deliveries where required, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Track/trace ocean and air shipments to avoid potential storage and demurrage liabilities.
  • Determine future needs and up-sell where opportunities arise.

Intermediate Accountant

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and record business transactions for multiple entities.
  • Balance ledgers and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare general journals for review.
  • Enter approved general journals.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end process.
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with full-cycle accounting.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices, as necessary.

Forklift Operator – Saskatoon

CDS is expanding our warehouse operations presence into the Prairies by opening a facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Positions in SK will provide the perfect opportunity to join a growing company as we expand into our new SK facility where we will continue our mandate of servicing our customers in a timely, accurate and safe manner. The culture of CDS is that we wear many hats and roll up our sleeves to get the work done, regardless of our job title. All SK roles will report directly to the Operations Supervisor based on-site in Saskatoon, with overall direction coming from Richmond, BC team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to a safe, and team-friendly work environment while striving for excellent customer service.
  • Accurately and efficiently pick orders and receive inventory, using electric Material Handling Equipment.
  • Operate a hand-held  RF Scanner, and/or a Voice-Pick Headset.
  • Inspect all goods upon arrival or departure from the warehouse to ensure quality and food safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory stock levels and participate in inventory control cycle counts.
  • Daily loading / unloading of 5-ton and tractor trailers using appropriate equipment.
