Dispatcher

Shift: Afternoon Shift

About the Team:

The Transportation team is based in Richmond, BC, working around the clock to support our customers, drivers and Owner / Operators.  We also have a hub in Calgary that services the Alberta region.  We are a tight team that goes out of our way to ensure we operate a customer service oriented and safe working environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Scheduling – Assign drivers/carriers to trips and ensure they have all equipment required to meet departure times.
  • Load Planning – organize and prioritize orders to meet customer needs. Work with loaders and shunters to get trailers loaded. Be willing to go onto the dock if necessary.
  • Communicate with drivers to meet deadlines and solve last minute issues; achieve and maintain high service levels, and ensure they are 100% compliant with Transportation Safety Plan policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with transport team and customers to facilitate successful and efficient deliveries.
  • Put paperwork together if required.
  • Coordinate deliveries with night drivers.
  • Prepare / plan trips for morning city drivers.
  • Knowledge about reefers and trailers an asset.

Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

What You’ll Do:

  • Book inbound and outbound appointments.
  • Process driver check-ins and assign doors to Drivers for inbound and outbound loads.
  • Prepare and verify shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Assist the Warehouse Management team with workflow on the warehouse floor.
  • Process and input customer orders in Warehouse Management System (WMS), evaluate and respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.
  • Proactively work with other departments to ensure customers are kept up to date on orders.
  • Eliminate reoccurring issues, minimize service issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide product & service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.

Owner Operator – Local Tractor

Admin Assistant / Customer Service Rep – SK

CDS has expanded our warehouse operations presence into the Prairies by opening a facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Positions in SK will provide the perfect opportunity to join a growing company as we expand into our new SK facility where we will continue our mandate of servicing our customers in a timely, accurate and safe manner.  The culture of CDS is that we wear many hats and roll up our sleeves to get the work done, regardless of our job title.  All SK roles will report directly to the Operations Supervisor based on-site in Saskatoon, with overall corporate direction coming from Richmond BC.

About the Role: You are a team-oriented individual who is passionate about customer service.  You will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers with the primary objective to foster customer loyalty and partnership by providing high-quality interactions and business solutions. You are outgoing and friendly, take an analytical approach to work, thrive under pressure and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse Team Lead – Freezer

About the Role:

This role will oversee Freezer Operation.  It will be a great opportunity for anyone to grow and gain experience in a leadership role and potentially grow within the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform warehouse functions, which includes loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting, specifically the Freezer, but also the cooler areas as needed.
